Every Spring and Fall I am looking forward visiting the Designmarket Edelstoff (more). There is always something new to find, if you take your time and look close enough. Mostly local designers, which I prefer to support, present their new ideas. Edelstoff 07 pimped up my wardrobe quite a bit this season …
First of all I fell in love with the cutest new food truck in town: Millie’s Frozen Yogurt – the vintage Caravan. Then I played around with the Jellyseries photo filter, which makes an awesome jewelry piece as hanging necklace pendant and admired the illustrated city prints by Vianina.
Already live proofed: The silk string ribbons by the little label Pretty-delicate from the Love & Lies series, which didn’t leave my wrist, since I bought them. Same for the lovely lingerie by i wanna. – I really should have gone for more. And last but not least my new summer coat by KM/A. I have been dreaming of a coat from this brand since 2012, when I first saw the collection at the Fair Fair in Vienna (find my article in german on standard.at: here), with the most creative wedding dress. Timeless unique pieces made from recycled vintage italian parachutes. I apologize in advance that you will probably see many selfies on my Instagram accounts this saison, which all seem to be the same, as I have the feeling that this coat will get a lot of fresh air, thinking of the weather caprioles in Vienna. I was so excited by this fabulous find, that I forgot to buy the candle holders at the Kellerwerk stand. Such a pity as they would compliment my stone floor in the living room so well.
Do yourself a favor and support local design. The good karma and histories behind will make you much more happy than a big plastic bag of soulless stuff.
