A short walk from the U4 Hietzing underground station and one of the entrances of Schönbrunn Palace, you will find a viennese coffeehouse gem.
The Café Dommayer.
Opened daily from 7AM to 10PM there are many opportunities you will find to enjoy your time here.
Be it a short break for a quick Espresso, a small Macaroon, which is called Laakrone here, or an extended breakfast with newspapers and magazines from all over the world. It is the viennese way to have all the news of the world for the price of a ‚cheap‘ cup of coffee. Different like in most cities: You can spend hours with just an small amount of 1-4 Euros.
I am fortunate to live nearby and often sneak in for some black gold …
.. or a cup of organic tea …
which is always great with Raspberry
Macaroons, sorry Laakronen.
my favorite Laakrone is: Caramel with Fleur de Sel. Heavenly!
After a long winter all Hietzingers can’t wait for the opening of the terrace infront of the building.
More places where I like to have my coffee break or breakfast:
And on hot summer days there is nothing more enjoyable than having your cake in the hidden garden behind the Café.
