Lake Erlauf
Erlaufsee is located just 3 kms northwest of Mariazell at an altitude of 827 meters (2713 ft) on the border between Styria and Lower Austria. The many leisure time activities available to you at this pristine mountain lake of drinking quality water could just be the delightful outing you are looking for.
At the boat rental office there are different types waiting for you: paddleboats, boats with electric motors and romantic row boats. At the southern edge of Lake Erlauf is the high ropes course Bujaka Skyline, which has been naturally integrated into the forest stand. You can climb to lofty heights on one of four different routes with a total of 40 stations.

Easy access to a finely pebbled beach with a generous lawn for sunbathing, two slides, two bathing jetties, a jumping board and a play area for children, all free of charge, are at your disposal.
The underwater world of the lake reveals magnificent sunken landscapes and submerged trees just waiting to be discovered on a dive. The crystal clear water with a visibility range of up to 20 meters deep and an impressive fish population attract divers and anglers alike to Lake Erlauf. It is known throughout the region and beyond as the home to the lake char (Seesaibling) and grand pikes. The lake is also rich in other species of fish such as perch, rudd, brown trout and rainbow trout.
Stretching all the way around Lake Erlauf are pleasant hiking paths inviting you to an easy afternoon stroll or a quick-paced walk.
