Aqua Terra Zoo with a View
You will find the Aqua Terra Zoo in one of the famous Flak towers; one of the large, above-ground, anti-aircraft gun blockhouse towers constructed in the cities of Berlin (3), Hamburg (2), and Vienna (3) from 1940 onwards (read more in wikipedia)
The 47,3 meters high public aquarium Vienna in the 6th district offers, besides all the amazing animals over and under water, a view over the City, which you will never forget. So please be sure to visit the Flakturm on a sunny day (tip for the ladies: and don’t forget to bring flat shoes – it is quite a walk to reach the top)
Exploration of the sea in the concrete tower: On the 6th floor of the tower is a research station, which conducts valuable scientific work. Jellyfish invasion at the Mediterranean. Scientists of the Haus des Meeres discovered that the jellyfish newcomer phyllorhiza punctata already breed in the Mediterranean.
